What will you be doing?

  • Evaluate the brand’s current security activity and find ways to improve
  • Oversee the entire SDLC output, from requirements to reviews, automated tooling and/or supporting threat models & penetration testing.
  • Remain abreast of potential vulnerabilities and push for a culture of automation across the brand’s internal security tools & controls etc.
  • Analyse and identify appropriate security controls and their configurations for proposed solutions.
  • Work closely alongside the rest of the product security team and test the effectiveness of safeguards through tests
  • Establish yourself as a security advocate and encourage others to spot potential pitfalls and remedy them.
  • With the brand well known for experimenting with new tech/architectures (backed by a system that can quickly pivot and handle changes), they’re in a unique position of already being an established name across UK households. With visibility and recognition already established, it’s all about innovating on their SDLC and ensuring any potential vulnerabilities are reduced through shifting left.

It's a great opportunity with a ton of cool projects and tech you’ll be working with. To succeed you’ll need:

  • Thorough experience in cloud-based security solutions (AWS, Azure)
  • Adept at testing pre-established services
  • Comfortable overseeing threat modelling meetings alongside the rest of the engineering team
  • A working knowledge of how to choose, implement, and maintain security products and services.
  • Up to-date knowledge of automation scripting using Python, PowerShell, Go or similar.
  • Basic understanding of cryptography, authentication, authorisation
