We have a ground-breaking opportunity for a visionary Lead Automation Developer adept at team management to own the entire automation program, architecting solutions across Customer Service, Tech, Operations, Finance, HR, Procurement, and more!

This leadership role demands an expert in UI Path and Power BI, with a proven track record of success in both development and team management. You'll be at the forefront, leading a team of 3 and executing a company-wide automation program, with the full backing of C-Level executives!


Salary: Salary from £55k - £62k + bonus

Location | Workplace policy: Remote first with offices in Leeds


*Focusing primarily on short-term goals in Robotic Process Automation (RPA), you’ll eventually play a pivotal role in orchestrating the transition towards Intelligent Automation and Artificial Intelligence*


What you’ll be doing:


  • Process Innovation: Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, analyse and estimate new processes, and assess feasibility for rapid implementation.
  • Knowledge Management: Maintain comprehensive process documentation and ensure its accessibility across the organisation. Foster a culture of automation best practices within the automation squad.
  • Solution Design & Development: Collaborate with the automation architecture team to design high-performance and resilient solutions. Develop software solutions that are efficient, reliable, and meet performance benchmarks. Possess strong software development skills in design, coding, verification, testing, documentation, and refactoring of complex systems.
  • Agile Project Management: Participate in project estimation and planning using an iterative and adaptive approach.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay current with the latest technological advancements and assess their potential value for process improvement.
  • Process Analysis & Documentation: Analyse, understand, and document business processes in detail when necessary. Clearly communicate the technical infrastructure requirements for new processes.
  • Workflow Configuration: Configure new processes and objects using core workflow principles that prioritise efficiency, structure, maintainability, and user-friendliness.
  • Process Support & Change Management: Support existing processes, implement change requests through a structured change control process, and proactively solve issues that arise in daily operations, providing timely solutions.
  • Project Management & Communication: Manage projects within defined constraints, communicate identified project risks and issues to the project manager, and contribute to the change control process.
  • Testing & Rollout: Create and document test procedures and scenarios for pre-UAT phases. Support operational teams during UAT and rollout phases.


Skills you’ll need:


  • UiPath Expertise: Up to 3+ years’ experience in UiPath
  • Proven team management skills: That can nurture your team to success and delegate tasks
  • Exposure to power BI
  • Object-Oriented Design: Proficient in applying object-oriented design patterns to build robust and maintainable software solutions.
  • Database and API Integration: Experienced in working with databases and APIs to manage data effectively within software applications.
  • Coding Languages: Skilled in using various programming languages (e.g., VB.net, C#, etc.) for development tasks, including regular expressions (regex), JSON parsing, and LINQ queries for data manipulation.
  • Cloud Computing: Experience with utilizing AWS services for various cloud-based functionalities.
