Salary: Up to £80k + great perks

Location: Based in city centre Manchester (Applicants MUST be based in the UK without visa/sponsorship requirements)

While collaborating closely with the Associate Director and other senior executives, you will manage a team of developers to ensure smooth project execution from analysis to delivery, aligning with business objectives.

What else will you be doing?

  • Take immediate ownership of the entire lifecycle of delivery from conception to launch
  • Oversee payroll solutions and ensure new features are successful
  • Ensure your team is happy & working optimally with development practices implemented when appropriate
  • Work alongside the product owner in spotting potential risks and help to solve
  • Assure smooth operation by reducing dependencies between the solutions.
  • Effectively communicate objectives for line reports that are understood by all involved
  • Nurture your team and set goals so they remain happy and content in the role
  • Remain aware of the wider industry and introduce trendy tactics if appropriate
  • Maintaining and improve software quality for features built (TDD, Pairing, Peer Review, Static Analysis).
  • Provide fidelity estimates to the product owner based on the stage of the development lifecycle.
  • Work with BA’s to elaborate on requirements
  • Collaborate with QAs

Core skills needed:

  • Experience leading software teams with demonstrable line management skills that can nurture figures and help them reach goals
  • Hands-on experience with dev practices that can lead others
  • A background using back-end tech (C# Azure Functions / Framework / SQL Server and/or front-end development in React or similar)
  • Familiar with Azure and logic
  • Proven communicator to your team and stakeholders that can negotiate, inspire and influence
  • Born motivator that can bring the best out of people
  • A detail-oriented person that is aware of maintenance costs etc.
