Sitehop Recognised for Digital Innovation
Local technology firm Sitehop has been shortlisted for the Digital Revolution category at the 2024 Chamber Business Awards. This prestigious recognition highlights Sitehop's contributions to the UK tech industry and its innovative solutions for cybersecurity and networking.
A well-deserved nod to the Sitehop team founded by Melissa Chambers and Ben Harper for their hard work and dedication. Their commitment to technological advancement has undoubtedly played a significant role in this achievement. The company's recent success follows their successful seed funding round earlier this year, raising £5 million. This funding was led by Amadeus Capital Partners and Manta Ray Ventures, with participation from several other investors.
Sitehop addresses a critical challenge in the digital age: that current software encryption solutions slow down communications networks by adding delay to the system. Communications infrastructure providers face the choice of incurring significant additional costs by laying down extra fibre capacity to minimise the latency caused by encryption or to run lines without encryption which creates unacceptable enterprise risks.
Sitehop specialises in leveraging custom programmable hardware to optimise and accelerate cloud and telco networks. Their SAFEblade 1100 enterprise solution is particularly noteworthy for its ability to significantly reduce the attack surface for cybercriminals.
