Software Engineer

 

$160k to $225k + equity | Hybrid (NYC or Boston) | High-growth product team

 

We are exclusively supporting a fast-growing, venture-backed technology company building a customer-first digital platform in a complex, highly regulated space.

This isn’t a feature factory or legacy maintenance role.

They are still early enough to be shaping the product and platform from the ground up, but established enough to have real users, real scale and real engineering challenges.

You will join a small, high-calibre team where engineers own problems end-to-end, ship quickly and have genuine influence over architecture, tooling and direction.

If you enjoy autonomy, ambiguity and building meaningful products rather than polishing edge cases, this is that kind of environment.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Building and shipping customer-facing features across web and mobile apps
  • Designing and scaling backend systems with reliability and data integrity in mind
  • Working closely with product and design to shape solutions, not just implement tickets
  • Improving internal tooling that helps operational teams move faster
  • Integrating third-party and enterprise systems
  • Contributing to technical decisions, architecture and engineering standards as the platform grows
  • Expect broad ownership and variety, not a narrow lane.

 

Skills needed:

  • Strong full-stack engineering experience (TypeScript, Python or similar modern stacks)
  • Comfortable across frontend, backend and cloud infrastructure
  • Experience building and scaling real-world production systems
  • Confident working in fast-paced, product-led environments
  • Able to navigate ambiguity and take ownership without heavy process
  • Collaborative, low-ego and happy working cross-functionally
  • Early-stage or growth company experience is a plus, not a requirement.
