Principal .NET Engineer
Location: Manchester (Hybrid & In-office options available)
Salary: £75,000
The Challenge:
Most platforms are built to maintain the status quo. This one is built to break it. We’re looking for a Principal .NET Engineer ready to take ownership, shape architecture, and lead a team that isn’t afraid to do things differently.
What You’ll Own
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of complex, scalable software.
- Shape technical strategy, drive architecture decisions, and champion best practices.
- Mentor engineers at all levels, promoting growth, code quality, and innovation.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and QA teams to solve challenging problems.
- Identify bottlenecks, resolve critical issues, and optimise systems for performance and reliability.
- Serve as a bridge between engineering and leadership, translating technical challenges into actionable solutions.
Who You Are
- Expert in C# .NET (Framework & Core), SQL/MySQL, and building web services.
- Comfortable with modern front-end technologies—JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS—and building enterprise-grade applications.
- Strong understanding of OOP principles, design patterns, and software architecture.
- Experienced with Message Brokers, with additional knowledge of NoSQL, WinForms/WPF, or cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) as a plus.
- Hands-on leader who thrives in Agile teams and enjoys mentoring, code reviews, and technical problem-solving.
- Clear communicator who can challenge assumptions, cut through complexity, and drive results.
Nice to Have
- Experience guiding teams on technical growth and career development.
- Cloud certifications or a Computer Science degree.
Why You’ll Want to Join
- Competitive salary: £75,000 plus discretionary bonus schemes.
- Flexible working options and a results-focused culture.
- Annual leave that grows with service, wellbeing support, and family-friendly benefits.
- Real ownership of a high-impact platform, with the chance to leave your mark on its future.
This isn’t just another engineering role. It’s an opportunity to challenge the status quo, lead a talented team, and push technology further than ever before.
