If you’re a backend specialist who thinks in micro-seconds, this is for you. We are partnering with a high-frequency FinTech firm in the Financial District that handles billions in daily volume. They are currently mid-way through a massive architectural shift, moving their core execution engines to a Rust-heavy, memory-safe architecture.

They don’t do "process theatre" here. It is an elite, lean engineering team where the hierarchy is flat and the focus is entirely on performance and reliability. You won't be attending five meetings a day; you'll be solving hard problems around concurrency and distributed systems.

What you will be doing

• Architecting and building high-performance backend services in Rust.
• Leading the transition from legacy C++ systems to modern, memory-safe architectures.
• Optimizing database performance and data consistency across global regions.
• Mentoring mid-level engineers and driving best practices in system design.
• Collaborating with the Quant team to ensure the infrastructure can handle extreme scale.

What they are looking for

• Expert-level proficiency in Rust (or a strong C++ background with a clear desire to master Rust).
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and multi-threading.
• Experience with Kafka, gRPC, and high-performance NoSQL databases.
• Someone who thrives in a high-stakes, "ship fast" environment.
• A strong architectural eye, you know how to design for the next five years, not just next week.
