Contract Role | .NET Engineer (Billing Systems)
Location: Remote (UK-based)
Duration: 6 months
Rate: Up to £550 p/d (outside IR35)
We’re exclusively supporting a fast-scaling SaaS business on a high-volume billing transformation project.
Their existing platform processes 100,000+ transactions per month and underpins a significant proportion of company revenue. A migration to a new cloud billing system is already partially complete, and this role will be central in analysing, deconstructing, and shaping the future of the billing infrastructure.
What You’ll Do:
- Analyse and deconstruct the current billing platform.
- Identify fracture lines and design robust, scalable solutions.
- Build APIs and produce clear technical documentation.
- Plan integrations between internal CRM systems and the new billing platform.
- Contribute to migration strategy for a mission-critical, high-volume environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven expertise with .NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, WinForms.
- Background in billing systems, payroll, accounting, or invoicing solutions.
- Experience working with large-scale, high-volume transactional systems.
- A senior-level engineer/consultant able to work independently and deliver impact fast.
- Strong understanding of billing, data, APIs, and performance at scale.
