- Permanent
Role: DevOps Engineer / SRE Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 Location: 100% Remote (UK)
Here at MRJ, we're proud to be working with a UK SaaS business that is scaling aggressively. They have grown their customer base by 80% in the last 10 months alone. They are profitable, stable, and hiring due to pure demand, not churn.
Here is the reality: They are victims of their own success. Their growth has outpaced their infrastructure. Right now, they are running a massive multi-account AWS estate for high-profile enterprise clients, and it’s largely managed manually with the Infrastructure-as-Code not in place.
That is where you come in.
They don't want a cog in the machine. They need a clued up DevOps engineer that can come in, look at the current manual setup, and say, "Okay, here is how we automate this."
Your Mission:
- Kill the "ClickOps": You will lead the migration of their entire estate to IaC (Terraform or CloudFormation, you decide).
- Greenfield Autonomy: There is no "legacy way" of doing IaC here. You set the standards. You choose the tooling.
- Scale & Security: You’ll act as the bridge between Development and Operations, hardening their security posture (ISO 27001 environment) while building CI/CD pipelines that allow the devs to ship faster.
The Stack:
- Cloud: AWS (EC2, RDS, ELB, Elasticache).
- App: It’s a LAMP stack environment (Linux/Nginx). You don’t need to write PHP, but you need to know how to host it at scale.
- The Goal: 100% Automated Infrastructure.
The Culture:
- They don’t care where you work, as long as the work gets done. They are 100% remote.
- Real Flexibility: (finish early Fridays & more).
- No Red Tape: You report to leadership. You won’t need to fill out a form in triplicate to change a config file.
Who this is for: This is for the Engineer who is bored of "maintenance mode." It’s for the person who wants to look back in 12 months and say, "I built that platform."
If you have 2+ years of AWS experience and you’re itching to get your hands dirty with a full-scale IaC migration, we need to talk.
