We’re working with a fast-growing, ambitious tech organisation that is transforming how digital services and marketplaces operate in the workplace. They’re looking for a Development Lead to own delivery across multiple high-impact projects, working across web, marketplace, and AI-driven platforms.

This is a senior, hands-on role with responsibility for shaping technical strategy, driving measurable growth, and improving predictability across complex digital initiatives. You’ll be working closely with senior stakeholders, including heads of marketing and engineering, to deliver initiatives that directly influence customer experience, engagement, and revenue.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead delivery across multiple portfolios: Own planning, execution, and delivery of web and marketplace initiatives, ensuring business outcomes are met.
• Drive technical strategy: Shape SEO, AI-driven search, and conversion optimisation roadmaps to maximise performance and growth.
• Cross-functional leadership: Collaborate with marketing, product, engineering, and external partners to remove blockers and align on priorities.
• Predictability and performance: Monitor team velocity, adjust processes, and communicate realistic delivery expectations to stakeholders.
• End-to-end ownership: Manage the full lifecycle of initiatives, from concept to deployment, performance analysis, and iterative improvement.
• Team development: Hire, coach, and develop high-performing engineers while embedding best practices in software quality, testing, and agile delivery.
• Risk and dependency management: Identify and mitigate risks, assumptions, and dependencies across multiple projects and teams.

Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience leading agile delivery across complex digital platforms.
• Proven ability to manage multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of technical SEO, AI search, and CRO strategies.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence across diverse teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a track record of balancing immediate needs with long-term scalability.
• Experience driving adoption of best practice in software engineering and agile delivery.
