Contract Product Manager (Customer Mobile App)
£600 per day | Inside IR35 | 6 months initially | Immediate start | Remote first with offices in Leeds (UK based applicants only)
This is a hands-on Product Manager contract for someone who thrives in fast-moving, customer-facing product teams.
We are supporting a major consumer brand whose Customer App sits at the heart of the user experience, from managing preferences to customer support and self-service.
There is already a live roadmap for the next few months. What they need now is a strong Product Manager who can step in quickly, take ownership, keep delivery moving and help shape what comes next, not just keep things ticking over.
You will take day-to-day ownership of the mobile product, manage and coach a junior PM, and work closely with engineering, UX and data to deliver meaningful improvements for customers.
If you enjoy owning a product, working directly with users and balancing delivery with discovery, this is a great short-term gig with real impact.
What you will be doing:
You will lead product delivery for a native iOS and Android customer app, including:
- Owning and refining a prioritised product roadmap
- Working closely with engineers and designers to define and deliver features
- Managing the backlog and keeping delivery moving at pace
- Using data and customer insight to shape product decisions
- Running discovery with UX and research to validate ideas
- Partnering with stakeholders across product, operations and customer teams
- Coaching and supporting a direct-report PM day to day
This is very much a hands-on product role, not a strategy-only assignment.
What they are looking for:
This role suits an experienced Mobile App Product Manager who can hit the ground running.
You will likely have:
- Strong experience as a Product Manager working on consumer-facing mobile apps
- Proven delivery experience in fast-paced product teams
- Confidence owning roadmaps, backlogs and stakeholder conversations
- A customer-first mindset with experience using research and data to guide decisions
- Comfort working with analytics and product metrics (Power BI / SQL a bonus, not essential)
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical teams
- Experience mentoring or coaching junior product managers
Most importantly, they want someone who is:
- Comfortable taking ownership quickly
- Curious, proactive and commercially aware
- Focused on outcomes, not just outputs
What’s next?
This is an immediate requirement, so the client is keen to move quickly for the right person.
We are managing this hire directly and will guide you through the process, from first conversation through to onboarding, with full context on the product, team setup and expectations.
If you are an experienced Product Manager available soon and looking for a high-impact contract on a major customer app, apply and we will take you through the details.
