Business Analyst – Change and Technology
Up to £45k salary + perks | Hybrid working from offices in Leeds (UK-based)
MRJ is proud to be supporting one of our flagship clients - a leading UK organisation, trusted by over 10 million customers every week and partnered with some of the nation’s most iconic brands.
With technology massively driving their success, they’re evolving their Change & Technology function and are looking for an Business Analyst who can bridge business needs with delivery, ensuring change programmes land seamlessly and deliver real value.
Why this role?
This is a chance to work in a large-scale, complex environment where the BA function isn’t just a tick-box exercise but a real driver of transformation. You’ll be working with senior sponsors, architects, product managers, engineers, and other BAs to shape requirements that underpin projects from discovery through to implementation.
The remit covers people, processes, and technology – everything from mapping existing estates and identifying efficiency improvements, to creating solution-agnostic artefacts that guide architects and delivery teams.
What you’ll be doing:
- Partner with business stakeholders to define goals, scope, and success measures for change.
- Lead requirement elicitation and prioritisation, balancing business needs with delivery constraints.
- Translate high-level ideas into structured, testable requirements and artefacts.
- Support sponsors and PMs in shaping business cases and benefit realisation plans.
- Produce outputs such as story maps, capability heatmaps, process flows, and impact assessments.
- Ensure solutions remain customer-centric, scalable, and aligned to business strategy.
- Act as a trusted point of contact across multiple functions – from exec sponsors to engineering teams.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst (2+ years, ideally more) in complex change environments.
- Exposure to both business and technology change across multiple projects.
- Strong toolkit of elicitation and analysis techniques, with hands-on delivery across the full lifecycle.
- Ability to stay solution-agnostic while ensuring requirements are clear, prioritised, and business-driven.
- Skilled communicator able to flex between exec-level stakeholders and technical colleagues.
- Familiarity with Agile, Iterative and Waterfall delivery approaches.
- Bonus: knowledge of Jira/Confluence, Power BI, and experience with process mapping/UX support.
The type of person who thrives here:
- Analytical but pragmatic – able to break down complexity into manageable steps.
- Confident in balancing technical detail with business context.
- Naturally collaborative, building strong working relationships across functions.
- Commercially aware, customer-obsessed, and motivated by driving measurable outcomes.
If you’re a BA who enjoys navigating complexity and making change stick, this is an opportunity to work at scale, directly shaping how technology and process change lands in a business that impacts millions of customers daily.
