Job description

Senior Product Analyst | Manchester City Centre (on-site) | Salary: £50,000–£55,000

I'm working with a growing technology business looking for a Senior Product Analyst to help shape its product development, improve customer experiences and identify opportunities to deliver more value through its products.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys getting to the heart of customer and business problems, using data and research to challenge assumptions, and working closely with Product, Design and Engineering teams to turn ideas into meaningful improvements.

You'll play a key role throughout the product lifecycle, from discovery and requirements gathering through to delivery, launch and measuring the impact of new features. There's also an opportunity to help develop other Product Analysts and contribute to improving how product analysis is carried out across the business.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading discovery and analysis activities for complex product features and initiatives across web and mobile applications.
  • Using customer feedback, research, data and stakeholder insights to identify problems and opportunities for improvement.
  • Facilitating workshops and working with stakeholders to define clear requirements and agree potential solutions.
  • Translating complex business and customer problems into actionable requirements that development teams can deliver.
  • Working closely with Product Designers, Engineers, QA and Delivery Leads throughout the development process.
  • Defining success metrics for new features and measuring adoption, engagement and overall product performance.
  • Supporting research, testing and validation to ensure product decisions are backed by evidence.
  • Contributing to competitor analysis and keeping up to date with market trends and opportunities.
  • Supporting product launches, go-to-market activity, release communications and stakeholder training.
  • Mentoring other Product Analysts and helping improve analysis practices across the wider team.

What we're looking for:

  • Strong experience in Product Analysis, Business Analysis or a similar role within a technology or digital product environment.
  • Experience leading discovery activities and analysing complex customer and business problems.
  • The ability to gather, document and communicate clear requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A data-led approach to decision-making, using qualitative and quantitative insights to validate ideas and measure outcomes.
  • Experience working closely with Product, Design and Engineering teams in an agile environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to balance customer needs with business objectives and technical considerations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and influence decisions.
  • An interest in supporting and mentoring others, sharing knowledge and improving ways of working.

If you're a Product Analyst who enjoys understanding customer problems, challenging the status quo and helping teams build better products, I'd be keen to have a conversation.
