Job description

Product Director | Manchester | Hybrid | £140-160k

About the job

We’re looking for an exceptional Director of Product to lead the creation of a new generation of intelligent digital experiences for a global B2C marketplace with 2m + regular visitors per month.

Working closely with the exec leadership team, you’ll define what the future customer experience could look like when AI, automation, personalisation and recommendation technology sit at the heart of the product.

From smarter discovery and highly personalised journeys to intelligent recommendations and automated experiences, you’ll turn emerging technology into products that customers genuinely want to use, and that deliver measurable commercial impact.

The role in more detail

You’ll take ownership of a strategically important product area, working across Product, Engineering, Data, AI, Design and Commercial teams to move from idea to proposition to MVP to scale.

  • You’ll define the product vision and strategy for a new suite of intelligent digital experiences.
  • You’ll identify where AI, machine learning, automation and customer data can fundamentally improve how customers discover, choose and interact with the marketplace.
  • You’ll lead products from concept through discovery, validation, MVP and launch, creating momentum rather than waiting for perfect information.
  • You’ll work closely with Engineering and Data teams on areas including recommendation engines, intelligent search, personalisation, predictive experiences and agentic/AI-powered customer journeys.
  • You’ll also bring together senior stakeholders across Product, Technology, Data, Marketing, CRM and Commercial around a clear set of customer and business outcomes.
  • Most importantly, you’ll ensure innovation turns into real products, real customer adoption and real commercial value.

In summary, your role will focus on:

  • Zero-to-one product development – identifying opportunities and building entirely new digital propositions
  • AI-powered customer experiences – translating AI capabilities into useful, intuitive products
  • Personalisation – creating experiences that adapt to individual customers, behaviours and intent
  • Recommendations & discovery – making it easier for customers to find the right product, service or experience
  • Automation – removing friction and creating smarter, more seamless customer journeys
  • Experimentation – rapidly testing propositions, learning from customer behaviour and iterating
  • Commercial outcomes – connecting product decisions to conversion, engagement, retention, frequency and revenue

Interested - next steps?

We’re interested in Product leaders who have built, launched and scaled significant B2C digital products.

You’ll ideally bring experience from an ecommerce, marketplace, travel, retail, consumer technology or high-volume transactional environment with demonstratable zero-to-one product experience, experienced in building new B2C digital propositions from scratch.

Please send your profile for the team to review and we will be in touch.
