Job description

Senior Business Analyst | Initial 5 Month Contract | £450 per day inside | Remote 1st | Fortnightly meet

We’re looking for a proactive Senior Business Analyst to join a major transformation programme following a recent merger.

This is an opportunity to help shape a brand-new platform from the ground up. You’ll investigate the existing systems and processes, identify the capabilities the new platform genuinely needs, and work closely with business SMEs, architects and all and technology teams to develop the future-state solution.

This isn’t a role where everything will be handed to you. We need someone comfortable entering a complex environment, and getting things done!

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading discovery with business, operational and technology stakeholders
  • Understanding the existing platforms, processes and system capabilities
  • Defining high-level business and functional requirements for the replacement platform
  • Mapping current-state and future-state processes
  • Identifying gaps, dependencies, risks and operational impacts
  • Challenging legacy requirements and establishing the commercial or functional reason behind them
  • Working with architects to help shape the target-state design
  • Translating discovery findings into clear requirements for engineering teams
  • Supporting the programme through design, development and implementation

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong Senior Business Analyst experience within complex transformation programmes
  • Experience of mergers, acquisitions, integrations, separations or divestments
  • Platform replacement, re-platforming, legacy-system migration or modernisation experience
  • Excellent discovery, workshop facilitation and stakeholder-management skills
  • Strong capability mapping and AS-IS/TO-BE process-analysis experience
  • Experience working alongside architects and technical delivery teams
  • A proactive approach and the confidence to operate with minimal direction
  •

Previous experience within mail, logistics, warehousing, distribution or supply chain would be beneficial, but it isn’t essential.
