We're working alongside a cutting-edge Yorkshire brand on a mission to reinvigorate its already successful dev output. To help us achieve this, we're looking for a skilled Backend Developer with skills in PHP to join their team. Are you a coding whiz with a passion for building robust web applications?

Salary: up to £60k + great perks

Location | Workplace policy: Hybrid working with 2 day in Leeds location (Must be UK based)

• Build & Maintain Awesome Web Apps: You'll design, code, and keep web applications secure, scalable, and top-notch.

Basically, you'll be a key player in building and maintaining fantastic web applications! Sound like the role for you? This is who we’re looking for:

• Backend Web Development Pro: Experience building web applications using PHP.
• Full Working Knowledge: Using the Symfony framework.
• Database Guru: Experience with ORMs like Doctrine (and ideally SQL knowledge).
• API Whisperer: Comfortable working with APIs and Web Services (REST, SOAP, etc).
• Testing Advocate: Believes in unit testing for quality code.
• Communicator: Excellent communication skills for clear collaboration.

Bonus Points:

• Ecommerce Wiz: Knowledge of eCommerce platforms is a plus.
• Payment Gateway Guru: Understanding of payment gateways is a bonus.
• API Architect: Experience building RESTful APIs is a major advantage.
• Cloud Savvy: Familiarity with AWS/Cloud architecture is a plus.
• Containers & Automation: Experience with Docker and Composer is a bonus.
• Clean Code Champion: A good understanding of design principles (SOLID, DRY) and design patterns.
• Testing Enthusiast: Experience with TDD or other testing practices.
• Agile All-Star: Comfortable working in Agile environments.
• Scrum Mastermind: Bonus points for Agile Scrum project management using Jira.
• Frontend Friendly: Working knowledge of React and Next.js is a plus.
