Senior QA Engineer

  • Location | Workplace Policy: Hybrid working with 2 days a week in a modern Manchester office
  • Salary: Up to £60k + perks (depending on experience)

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior QA enthusiast who will be responsible for developing, implementing, and collaborating on the creation of a QA Strategy. Senior QA Engineer – Responsibilities:

  • Ensure test planning is conducted on all new features
  • Help headline the brand’s entire QA Strategy and continually look to optimise it
  • Support the automated execution of API and web/mobile application UI tests through test data
  • Create and maintain acceptance tests that focus on UI and implement them in CI/CD pipelines for execution
  • Performing manual execution of Regression testing on areas not covered by automation
  • Ensure relevant documentation is maintained
  • Communicate regularly with the Head of QA on testing progress
  • Ensure defects, issues are dealt with through automated API or UI testing
  • Regularly updating Engineering and Product teams on testing activities
  • Continually look to improve processes and implement new strategies

Ideal applicant:

  • A QA advocate that has past experience applying QA across software dev lifecycles
  • Comfortable occasionally mentoring and offering advice to less junior members
  • Experienced with JIRA, Shortcut
  • Skilled with Cypress or equivalent test automation tool for web-application frontend testing
  • Familiar with Detox, Appium, Behat, Cucumber & Gitlab
  • Commercially savvy with a finger to the pulse of what consumers and businesses want
  • Excellent stakeholder that can influence across all levels.
