Up to £70k Salary (DOE) – Based in Manchester

Lead the Charge: In this crucial leadership role, you'll oversee the team's daily operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, meeting the highest quality standards, and directly contributing to your team's strategic goals.


Core tasks include:

  • Craft bespoke WordPress experiences: Design and develop custom themes and plugins to perfectly match your client's needs and brand identity.
  • Build for all screens: Implement responsive web design principles to guarantee websites render flawlessly and function smoothly on any device, from desktops to mobile phones.
  • Visually stunning websites: Collaborate closely with designers to create user interfaces that are not only functional but also aesthetically captivating.
  • Speed matters: Optimise website performance to ensure lightning-fast loading times, keeping visitors engaged and happy.
  • Deliver flawless functionality: Conduct rigorous website testing and debugging to guarantee seamless operation across all browsers and devices.
  • API & Service Integration: Collaborate seamlessly with the development team to integrate essential third-party APIs and services, extending website functionality.
  • Stay ahead of the curve: Continuously learn and adapt to the latest trends and best practices in WordPress development, ensuring your websites are always at the forefront.


Lead WordPress developer – Key Skills Needed:

  • Empathetic leader that can effectively oversee others and nurture them to success
  • Proven experience building and customising WordPress themes and plugins is a must.
  • Front-End & Back-End Master: Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (including jQuery), and PHP is essential.
  • API Integration Pro: Experience working with RESTful APIs to connect websites with external services.
  • Familiarity with MySQL or MongoDB databases is a plus.
