Position: Inventory Manager (Revenue Management team)
Working closely with our Director, Revenue Management, the Inventory Manager will be responsible for managing and optimizing the distribution of our products across various channels, including Direct (awaze group sites), global distribution systems (GDS) and booking platforms with a focus on maximizing reach, enhancing product visibility, and driving sales.
🏡 Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Pricing & Yield Management: Work closely with revenue management teams to ensure that our inventory strategies align with pricing, yield management, and availability.
- Sales Optimization: Implement and monitor strategies to increase sales through our direct network channels and 3rd party partners, including promotions, special offers, and seasonal campaigns.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze inventory performance, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, providing detailed reports and insights to senior management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure alignment between inventory strategies and overall business goals.
- Problem-solving: Address and resolve issues related to inventory discrepancies, partner disputes, and system failures promptly.
- Market Expansion: Identify and pursue new opportunities across our markets or underutilized channels to drive revenue.
- Partnership Development: Build and maintain relationships with inventory & distribution partners, including OTAs, and other third-party vendors.
🏡 What experience & skills will you offer?
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar Inventory or Distribution management role within the travel or hospitality industry.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to monitor inventory performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
- International Experience: Experience working across multiple regions across Europe preferred.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills to oversee the implementation of new systems or partner integrations.
- Negotiation Skills: Proven experience in negotiating contracts, terms, and pricing structures with partners.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable working with travel distribution technology and booking systems.
- Market Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the travel landscape, including trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure that product information and pricing are accurately displayed across all channels.
- Problem-solving: Proactive in identifying any issues and finding effective solutions quickly.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of building strong relationships with partners and internal teams.
