With a firm status as a unicorn brand (being valued at over US$1 billion), Our client is a multi-award-winning e-commerce and tech platform that is looking for an empathetic and charismatic Engineering Manager to join them as they embark on an exciting new avenue of development over 2023 and beyond
A managerial role through and through that will have you onboarding, development and nurturing engineering talent, the ideal candidate for this role will be a born leader that has a strong business acumen and an eye for spotting talent, challenging the status quo (if appropriate), and implementing well thought-out strategies in a succinct and smooth manner.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop, mentor, and recruit engineering talent on behalf of the business
- Ensure you are abiding by the company’s core principles/ethos and are providing the team with an exemplary figure to look up to
- Perform regular performance reviews and ensure you are nurturing all teams talent to perform to optimum levels through including regular coaching, 121s and
- Remain empathetic towards peoples needs and ensure you are providing individuals with a work environment that promotes workplace productivity.
- Candidate requirements:
- Strong experience in .Net engineering but are happy to work across multiple languages and ecosystems.
- Highly attuned communication skills both written and orally
- Demonstrable background in CI/CD and building your own code from build through to deployment, production support and monitoring.
- Passionate about working as part of a full-stack, cross-functional team
- Possess an awareness of web application and cloud security and collaborate effectively with our internal security team
