Director of Software Engineering

A fantastic opportunity working with a Global eCommerce who are looking for a Director of Engineering with an interest in user experience.

Salary: £150k + 30% Bonus + LTIP : Remote MUST be based in England

You'll be responsible for a team of around 60 people with 5 direct reports each focused on delivering the best customer experience across their websites and apps.

In order to succeed, you’ll be a highly persuasive and agile individual that can both confidently influence change within a business and help drive up productivity across the entirety of your team succinctly and skilfully.

• Track record of attracting, Leading, and upskilling a diverse team of high-performing Engineers.
• Experience building B2C / High Transactional / E-Commerce / Customer facing applications
• Experience as a technical leader for managers of managers
• Are a leader of an Engineering organisation driving significant impact
• Has worked closely with Product Management, Ops, Security, Research etc.
• Demonstrated success building highly scalable clients and/or event driven, distributed systems and are strong architecturally
• Someone who understands and believes that AI is the future of tech and is ready to lean into it.
• Someone who loves sharing their knowledge and specifically helping others grow
