Our client, a leading and innovative tech-driven giant, collaborates with some of the biggest retail brands across the UK. They are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to play a key role in driving successful business transformations.
Salary: £39k-£42k | Hybrid working with twice a month in a central Leeds office.
As a Business Analyst, you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with stakeholders to identify, prioritise, and articulate business requirements, ensuring that desired outcomes are met. You'll be responsible for eliciting requirements, analysing user processes, and creating solution-agnostic artifacts that guide the development of effective IT solutions.
Collaboration is key, and you'll work alongside business sponsors, project managers, product owners, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure the seamless delivery of projects.
Key tasks include:
- Understand business drivers, stakeholder goals, and desired benefits.
- Plan and execute business analysis activities within project constraints.
- Analyse business context, structures, and processes to identify opportunities and problems.
- Articulate the high-level business impact of proposed changes.
- Measure and baseline business activity to identify and plan benefits.
- Elicit non-functional requirements for transaction volumes, users, and growth projections.
- Identify required changes to people, processes, and technology.
- Elicit and challenge stakeholder requirements to uncover true business needs.
- Analyse requirements for clarity, consistency, and traceability.
- Prioritise requirements based on business value and deliver in scoped releases.
- Articulate objective business requirements for solution architects and system analysts.
- Gain stakeholder approval for business requirements and resolve conflicts.
- Facilitate the design of to-be business processes and system solutions.
- Understand and explain technical concepts to business stakeholders.
Who are you?
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Business Analysis and Agile certifications preferred.
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or equivalent.
- Proven ability to balance technical knowledge with business acumen.
- Experience as a BA on various projects of varying size and complexity.
- Experience with business change projects involving people, processes, and technology.
- Experience with a variety of elicitation, analysis, and presentation techniques.
- Experience with projects from inception to implementation and review.
- Experience with Waterfall, Iterative, and Agile frameworks (advantageous).
