Senior UI Artist
Location | Workplace policy: North Yorkshire but can be remote within the UK
Salary: Competitive salary from £45k - £56k + perks

We’re looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Artist expert with a passion for gaming to develop amazing, cutting-edge UI interfaces for a range of exciting AAA Ips from the ground up.

The dynamic team plans to grow greatly over the year and works across various engines, including the excellent Unreal 5, making it a fantastic opportunity for a UI expert who can harmonize UI concepts with the artistic vision and work independently and collaboratively.

What will you be doing?

• Collaborate with the UI designer on the creation of 2D front-end game interfaces and in-game display HUDs
• Align designs to details briefs and ensure you are meeting technical timescales, constraints etc.
• Create, design and implement both static and animated 2D elements
• Create UI prototypes
• Uphold technical and artistic quality for projects by working closely with UI Designers and Senior UI Artists
• Take on board feedback and implement it into your work
• Optimise work and look to debug any issues that may arise
• Gain a comprehensive view of the project tools and uphold the process of updating engine data


What skills do you need?

• Working knowledge of photoshop and 2D packages
• Expertise in contemporary principles of user interface design as well as UI design elements such as composition and colour theory.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating your experience with the gaming industry
• Excellent knowledge of visual scripting
• Comfortable creating art assets for a modern game
• Full knowledge of UI design and how to make graphics/animations
• Experience with graphic design tools (layout, typography, font formats and colour)
• Able to pivot font and UI work if needed
