Lead Technical Architect

Location/Workplace policy: 3 days WFH – 2 Days In the office, Salford Quays
Salary: £60k - £70k (DOE)

Operating for well over 43 years, the business we are recruiting for is an exciting, growing and passionate tech company made up of 52 experts that offer game-changing software solutions to a wide range of distributors operating within the Energy and Fuel industry across both the UK and Ireland.

Driven by a number of high-profile contract wins and demand for their software services increasing exponentially all throughout 2021 and into the new year, the fun yet focused brand is now looking to optimise its technical functionality through the addition of a resilient and talented Lead Technical Architect.

As a Lead Architect for the company, your responsibilities will involve owning software solutions and managing the brand’s market-leading CODAS application. You’ll also be working on some of the newest technology in the market in this position, with the company needing a successful applicant to be open to adopting InterSystems Caché/IRIS into their tech stack.

*Please note the business is willing to upskill and offer training on some blind spots you may have if necessary*

Key responsibilities:

• Evaluate the brand’s processes and work to improve time to market
• Identify and remedy risks associated with deprecated technology
• Improve agility and streamline efficiency in the software development process.
• Help transition development and QA teams into an agile way of working
• Periodically present to external stakeholders

Skills you need:

• Demonstrable experience leading application architectures
• Excellent communication skills to both internal and external stakeholders
• Openness to adopting InterSystems Caché/IRIS into their tech stack
• Excited by the prospect of helping an already successful brand update their technology
• C#
• .Net
• MVC technologies
• Agile methodologies
• Experience with ERP, Stock Management or Warehousing systems
